Assam University is a teaching-cum-affiliating Central University. The university has sixteen schools which offer Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Information Sciences, Technology and Management Studies.

About the Department :

The Department of Chemistry, established in 1996, has been imparting training at advanced level of Chemistry in general to produce M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars.
