There is CMS (Central Medical Services) Exam to join as a Doctor in any Government agency which is conducted by UPSC. One can get information regarding this in Employment News. So you need to regularly go through Employment News.

UPSC conducts Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) every year to recruit medical graduates into a variety of Central Government Organizations and Services. The combined medical services (CMS) Examination are conducted in accordance with the Rules published by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in the Gazette of India.

UPSC conducts a Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination for recruitment to the following posts

(i) Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.

(ii) Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.

(iii) Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.

(iv) Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

(v) General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council

Educational Qualification:

For admission to the exam a candidate need to pass the written and practical parts of the final M.B.B.S. Examination.

A candidate who is in the final year of M.B.B.S. Exam can also apply. Such candidates are admitted to the exam if otherwise eligible but the admission is deemed to be provisional.

A candidate who still needs to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the exam but on selection need appointed only after one has completed the compulsory rotating internship.

Physical and Medical Standards: Applicants need to be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2009 as per regulations.
