Delhi University was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly.
Detail about the Undergraduate admission in Delhi University is as follows:

Qualifying Examinations

For admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

Applicant seeking admission to the courses offered by the University need to pass the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.

Age Requirement

There is no age bar for admission to undergraduate courses in the University / Colleges except in professional courses where the regulatory body prescribes minimum age requirement (such as MCI, AICTE etc.).

Gap year(s) would be no bar for purposes of admission to the undergraduate courses.
