The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) carry out the subsequent test parallel to different levels of the Chartered Accountancy course, in agreement with the Chartered Accountants Regulations 1988:

CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test(CPT).
CPT is conducted twice a year, in June and December.

Here I am providing exam notification detail:


Correction Window For CPT-December:
Start Date 30 Oct. (10:00 Hrs IST)
End Date 05 Nov. (17:30 Hrs IST)

Online Exam Forms – CPT 14th December, 2014
Last date for registration to CPT Course with BOS: 1st October

Commencement of Online filling of CPT Examination Form: 7th October (10:00 A.M. IST)
Last date & time for Login Creation/Submission of CPT Examination application form Online:
28th October, up to 5:30 P.M. (IST)

Last date for revalidation of registration for December, CPT : 28th October

Last date for receipt of print out of online examination form duly filled up(PDF): 1st November
Date of CPT Examination: 14th December

Tentative dates of declaration of result: Around one month from the date of examination

CPT will be conducted as per provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the CA Regulations, 1988.Common Proficiency Test will held on 13th December, 2015 on Sunday,
The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only for those students who registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ..



First Session is Morning Session who will start

on time 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST) and First Session is deviated in two section

Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile Laws



Second Session is Afternoon Session who will start

on time 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST) Second Session is also deviated in two section

Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative Aptitude


about question paper booklet language:
the Common Proficiency Test will happen in objective type multiple choice questions you will have two option for 1st hindi medium question paper booklet for answering the questions in 2nd english too .
