DCI or District of Columbia International School is a cooperative, joint school which is founded by 5 language immersion public charter schools. The DCI’s Board of Trustees includes the Executive Directors of the member schools and other Trustees as elected. The Dress Code of DC (District of Columbia) International School is as follows: TOPS Shirts of the students must be either logo-free polo-style or button down shirt have a collar, including polo-style or button-down can be of any solid color be neat and clean can be long or short sleeve Undershirts must: • The undershirts must be a solid color logo-free turtleneck or t-shirt Knitted outerwear need to be a solid color cardigan, pullover sweater, or sweater vest fit well and look professional Fleece outerwear need to be a solid color and logo-free BOTTOMS Pants and shorts need to be of material other than fleece, athletic wear; Spandex or denim must be of a solid color and must be worn around the waistline at all time. Skirts and shorts need to fall within one inch of the knee, of a solid color Belts need to be black or brown cloth or leather-like material and fit well Shoes need to be closed-toe comfortable shoes Headbands: • The headbands of the Students need to be for the purpose of keeping hair professional and neat nothing else All students need to wear their lanyards and DC one cards Exceptions for Religious Purposes: The dress code can be altered for religious purposes. |
