The Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area serves as an intellectual resource for the students and faculty of the member universities in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Consortium Research Fellows Program The Consortium Research Fellows Program (CRFP) offer places to graduate students as Research Fellows and undergraduate students as Research Assistants at several Department of Defense agencies. Candidates work in teams at their sponsoring agencies and are guided by government professional. Fellows and Assistants get involved in their teams' projects, participating in literature reviews, experimental design, survey design, data collection and analysis, website design, computer programming, network operations, report writing, and other such related activities. Generally students study psychology, sociology, information technology, or computer science. The sponsoring agencies grow substantial technical and analytical assistance while the students acquire excellent applied experience and also receive financial support.
