The Dawood University of Engineering and Technology is a public university located in the industrial area of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It was established in 1962

Admission details

Eligibility Criteria-

H.S.C

Higher School Examination (HSC) with optional subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognised Board of Education in Pakistan or an equivalent and should fulfill the following conditions:

Candidates must have at least 60% marks in aggregate (excluding grace marks).

Age of the candidate should not be more than 22 years.

The candidates who have passed intermediate (General Science Group) with a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer studies / Computer Science are eligible for admission only in Electronic Engineering, Computer System Engineering & Telecommunication Engineering.

The Candidate who have passed examination before Annual Examination 2010 shall not be eligible for admission.

BSC

B.Sc (Pass) with any combination of optional subjects from any chartered University or equitant Foreign Examination recognized as such by the HEC and should fulfill the following conditions-

B.Sc(Pass) Examination in First Division with at least 60% marks in H.S.C (Pre-Engineering) in aggregate (excluding grace marks).

Admission Policy:

DUET offers the Admissions to the first year of BE.

Pre-Admission Test

All the candidates applied for admission have to appear in pre-admission test (entry test) to be conducted by NTS simultaneously in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Islamabad.

Sindh / Rural, (HSC/BSc/Diploma/Sports), seats for AJK, Federal Capital Area of Islamabad, Dawood Foundation, seats reserved for sons and daughter of DUET staff/non-teaching staff / professional engineers / architect / town planners, self finance scheme (local / foreign)
