Age limit:
Candidates aged between 21 and 30 years of age are eligible to apply for TNPSC VAO Exam

Age relaxation:
40 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes.

Educational qualification:
SSLC (Matriculation-10 Class) Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission conducts direct recruitment for the post of Village Adminstrative Officer (VAO) or Grama Nirvaga Aluvalar in Tamilnadu Ministerial Service.

TNPSC VAO (Village Administrative Officer) 2015 Exam Date:- 04.10.2015.

TNPSC VAO Exam eligibility-

Age limit:

Candidate’s age must be between 21 and 30 years

Age relaxation: 40 years for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and DWs of all castes.

Educational qualification:

SSLC (Matriculation-10 Class) Public Examination or its equivalent

Candidates should also have proficiency in Tamil language.

TNPSC VAO Exam Syllabus

TNPSC VAO exam will consist of a single paper with the following subjects of SSC standard

General studies (75 items)
Basics of Village Administration (25 items)
Aptitude & Mental Ability Test (20 items)
General Tamil / General English (80 items)

Total (200 items)
Duration of Exam:- 3 hours
Maximum Marks:- 300

Minimum Qualifying Marks for selection:- 90

General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology
