Union Public Service Commission conducts the Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Exam to select candidates for the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

12th January 2014

Notification Date:
5 October, 2013

Last Date to Apply:
4 November, 2013

Examination Fee:
The Candidates of open class and OB class required to pay Rs 100 only while rest of the categories (Girls also) are free from the charges.

Eligibility:
Age limit:
The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years as on 1st Jan or running year.

Qualification:
The candidate must have passed in the first or second division in the intermediate or an equivalent examination of a recognised university.

The candidate must have passed 1st or 2nd division in the higher secondary(12 years)exam under 10+2 pattern with Mathematics and at least one of the subject Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the exam.

Selection procedure:
SCRA Exam conducts in 3 stages.
1. Written Examination
2. Interview/Personality Test
3. Document Verification
