D.B.H.P.S B. Ed College, Ernakulam works under the management of Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha. The college is approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It imparts undergraduate level programme in the field of teacher education - Bachelor of Education (B. Ed), which is one-year full time programme.

Eligibility for Admission:

One with minimum 50% marks in the Bachelor/Master Degree with minimum two school subjects one of which must be Hindi at the graduation level are eligible for admission.

Commerce graduates are not eligible.

OR
In case Hindi is not offered at graduate/Post graduate level, Rashtra Bhasha Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras or equivalent with minimum 50% in both exam is essential.

Reservation of seats is as per concerned state Government.

An admission is made on the basis of merit which is determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and a written Entrance Exam.

The Entrance Examination (written) shall be of 1½ hours duration and shall consist of :

» (b) Hindi Language (30 Qns. carrying 1 mark each) - 30 Marks

» (c) Translation - English to Hindi (10 Sentences carrying 1 mark each) - 10 Marks

» (d) Knowledge of second School Subject (Any one) (20 Qns. carrying 2 mark each) - 40 Marks
