Blithchron is derived from the words BLITHE- CHRONOS meaning "time of festivity". It is the annual cultural fest of IIT-Gandhinagar held around the month of January every year.

It is one of the most awaited college cultural fests in West India witnessed a footfall of 25,000 students from colleges all around India.

Blithchron has witnessed an exponential inflation in footfall from 1000 to 25000 in 7 years. It imputes a euphoric atmosphere by seamlessly bringing together the eccentric young minds of India.

Blithchron was kick-start by the maiden batch of IITGN. Blithchron's influence on colleges is flourishing with each passing year. The shimmering lights and the ear deafening sound of Blithchron gives one of its kind experience each time.
