Re: CTS Compliant Cheque Standard Chartered

On your demand buddy I will help you here to tell you guidelines for CTS Compliant Cheque issued by Standard Chartered Bank.

Here I’m telling you guideline

As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines*, cheque books issued by banks need to be compliant with the Cheque Truncation System (CTS-2010) standards.

Since RBI is now moving towards accepting only CTS-2010 standards compliant
cheques, please note that the old non-CTS 2010 compliant cheques should not be used post 31st December, 2012.

We are pleased to advise that Standard Chartered Bank has been issuing CTS-2010 standard compliant cheque books to our customers since April, 2011.

All customers who hold the earlier cheque books issued by the Bank are requested to apply for a new cheque book as per the CTS-2010 standards at the earliest.

Please note, post-dated cheques issued by you and due after 31st December, 2012, will need to be replaced by fresh cheques meeting the above mentioned guidelines.

Confirmation for the Check book
1. Date space is in check box format

2. Rupee symbol (`) is mentioned in the space where the amount in numbers needs to be mentioned

3. Along the cheque perforation, CTS-2010 has been mentioned

4. “Please sign above this line” has been mentioned near the signature section
