Central Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE Delhi for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes 1 to VIII. CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government including: NVS, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Tibetan Schools, etc to name a few and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Important Dates Date of Notification1st Jul, 2014 Last Date for Online Submission of Application Form4th Aug, 2014 Last Date for Submisison of Fee6th Aug, 2014 Availability of Admit Card12th to 19th Aug, 2014 Date of Exam21st Sep, 2014 CTET 2014 (I)was held on:16th Feb, 2014 Eligibility Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V Applicants must have pass Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks OR Applicants must have pass Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent), in accordance with the NCTE Recognition Norms and Procedure. CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. This test is conducted for a candidate to be eligible to get appointed as a Teacher for classes I to VIII. Essential Dates of CTET: Online application ends on: 8th of January Payment of application fee ends on: 10th of January Date of Examination (Paper-II): 22nd of February Date of Examination (Paper-II): 22nd of February Educational Requirement: 1. for Class I to V (Primary Stage): Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Diploma in Elementary Education. OR Senior Secondary with 45 per cent marks and Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002, OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Bachelors of Elementary Education (Special Education), OR Graduation degree and Diploma in Elementary Education 2. for Class VI to VIII (Elementary Stage): Graduation degree and Diploma in Elementary Education, OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed, OR Graduation degree with 45 per cent marks and B.Ed. in accordance with the NCTE, OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and Bachelors in Elementary Education, OR Senior Secondary with 50 per cent marks and B.A.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. or BA / B.Sc.Ed, OR Graduation degree with 50 per cent marks and B.Ed.
