Here I am giving you information about required minimum eligibility to apply for NET examination organized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research below :

ICAR NET Eligibility Criteria:
Agricultural Biotechnology:
You must have passed Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Bio-Technology/ Genetic Engineering/ Botany Plant Sciences/ Life Sciences with specialization in Plant Biotechnology

Agricultural Entomology:
You have to passed Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Entomology/ Zoology/ Sericulture/ Apiculture/ Plant Protection with specialization in Agricultural Entomology

Agricultural Microbiology:
Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in Agricultural Microbiology/ Microbiology

Economic Botany and Plant Genetics Resources:
Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Botany/ Horticulture with specialization in Agricultural Botany/ Economic Botany/ Plant Genetic Resources

Genetics and Plant Breeding:
Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Agricultural Botany/ Plant Breeding or Genetics or Genetics and Plant Breeding

Nematology:
Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in Agriculture Nematology/ Entomology/ Plant Pathology/ Zoology/ Plant Protection with specialization in Nematology

Plant Biochemistry:
Candidates must have passed Master’s degree in Plant Biochemistry/ Agricultural Biochemistry/ Biochemistry with specialization in plants

Age Limit & Relaxation
For JRF ( NET ) : Maximum 28 years as on 01st January, 2014 ( upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC, Physically handicapped / Visually handicapped and female applicants ).

For LS ( NET ) : No upper age limit.

Subjects of the test
CSIR-UGC NET Exam for Science stream is conducted by CSIR in the following areas: -
1. Chemical Sciences
2. Earth Sciences
3. Life Sciences
4. Mathematical Sciences
5. Physical Sciences
6. Engineering Sciences

Examination centres
The test will be held at 26 centers spread all over India, as specified below: Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.
