Can you provide me the pay scale/salary for the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno) in CRPF or Central Reserve Police Force?

The Central Reserve Police Force is the largest of India’s Central Armed Police Forces. It functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India.

Its primary role lies in assisting the State/Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and counter insurgency. It came into existence as the Crown Representative’s Police on 27 July 1939.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (Steno)

Education Qualification

• One interested in CRPF Sub Inspector must have completed 12th class or its equivalent from the recognized University
• Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
• Transcription time: 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer

Age Limits

Applicant’s age should be in between 18 years old to 25 years old

Selection Process

Steps for the selection of applicants like:
• Written Exam
• Skill Test
• Physical Measurement Test
• Medical Test

Pay Scale

One will get the salary of Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20200/-.
Grade pay of Rs. 2800/- per month.

Physical Standards:
A minimum of 170 cms (5 cms Relation for Adivasis or Tribals) Chest-81 cms (A minimum of 5 cms. of expansion; tribals 77-82cms

Women Candidates:
• A minimum of 157 cms. of height (154-155 cms. for Adivasis or Tribals)
• Eyesight Near Vision (corrected vision) J.I (better eye); J.II (worse eye)
• Distant vision – better eye (corrected vision) - 6/6 or 6/9. Worse eye 6/12 or 6/9
• Flat feet, Knock knees, squint in eyes and physical defects ruled out.
