Re: Criteria for lecturer in Degree College

To apply for posts of lecturer in universities, colleges or other institutions, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has made it compulsory for candidates without PhD to have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET)/State-Level Eligibility Test (SLET).

Here i am giving UGC NET eligibility criteria:

The candidates are required to have score 55 per cent marks in Masters Degree.

The candidates who are in their final year of Masters programme or those whose examinations have been delayed can also apply.

The candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be eligible after their results are declared and they obtain minimum 55 per cent marks in those exams.

The candidates who hold PhD degree and have completed their Masters degree with relaxation of marks up to 5 per cent

NET/ SLET/ SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
