Crime Branch is one of the branches that every State Police has their own and is usually referred as Criminal Investigation Department. In order to join this branch, you need to join the police department.

As you have done MA in Urdu and one year diploma course in computer so here I am telling you the procedure and eligibility criteria to became a crime branch officer.

To become CBI officer you have to appear for CGPE exam(Combined graduate Preliminary Exam) which is conducted by SSC board every year.

Eligibility Criteria -

Graduation with minimum 55 % in any stream.
age: 20years to 25 years.

Selection Criteria-

Selection procedure includes written exam followed by personal interview.

Syllabus:-

part I - general test, general reasoning and intelligence, general awareness and numerical ability.

part II- English language, language comprehension, communication/ writing and ability test.

Eligibility:

Qualification:
Candidate must have a graduation degree with minimum 55 % of marks from a recognized University.

Age Limit:
Minimum age is 20 years.
Maximum age is 25 years.

Age Relaxation:
5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate
3 years for OBC candidate

Selection Procedure:
Selection procedure is based on 3 stages:

1. Written Test
2. Physical Effective Test
3. Personal Interview

Scheme of Examination:
Tier I Objective multiple choice type
1. General Intelligence + Reasoning - 50 marks.
2. General Awareness - 50 marks.
3. Quantitative aptitude - 50 marks.
4. English Comprehension - 50 marks.

Tier II Objective multiple choice
1. Quantitive Abilities - 200 marks.
2. English language and comprehensions - 200 mars.
