CPT is the entry level course and is same as Entrance Exams of Other Professional Organisations. The Common Proficiency Test Exam is held twice every year in the month of June and December. Eligibility: Aspirants should have cleared for Class XII Exams. Application Procedure: You can get CPT Application form from: The Additional Secretary (Examinations), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002 Documents required Alongwith Application Form: The Following Documents given below shall be enclosed along with the CPT Registration Form. Demand Draft for the whole amount drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Institute of Attested Copy of Class XII Pass Certificate Attested Copy of Class X Pass Certificate Chartered Accountants of India” In case the Student opts for submitting the Registration Form online – he would be required to make the payment via Debit/Credit Card. Application Fees: The CPT Registration Fees to be submitted along with the Application Form is as follows:- Particulars Amount Cost of Application Form Rs. 100 Subscription for Applicants Journal (Optional but strongly recommended) Rs. 200 Subscription for Members Journal (Optional) Rs. 400 CPT Registration Fee Rs. 6000 Important Dates for CA CPT June, 2014 Examination: Commencement of Online filling of CPT Exam Form: 4th April, 2014 (10.00 hrs.) Date of declaration of result: Around one month from the date of examination Last date for acceptance of application forms: 25th April, 2014 (17.30 hrs) Thus, you have to create your account on or before 25th April, 2014 upto 5.30 P.M. Re: CPT Exam Application Procedure
Common Proficiency Test commonly known as CPT is the entrance exam for one of the most reputed courses in the Country i.e. Chartered Accountant. The exam is held two times every year in the months of June and December wherein aspirants can register after class X and give the exam after class XII. Aspirants who have registered for CPT may appear in the Common Proficiency Test after they have appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) held by an examining body constituted by the Law of India (or any other examining body acknowledged by the Central Government as equivalent thereto) and who has fulfilled the requirement as specified by the Institute from time to time. Also, aspirants who have registered themselves for CPT sixty days prior to the first day of the month in which the exam is to be held i.e. on or before April 1st and October 1st can appear in CPT exam to be held in June and December respectively. CPT exam is divided into two sessions containing 100 questions in each. Out of the 100 questions from Session I, 60 are from fundamental Of Accounts and 40 from Mercantile Law. Each right answer carries 1 mark each and for every wrong answer ¼ mark gets deducted. Session II includes 50 questions from General Economics and 50 from Quantitative Aptitude out of the total of 100 questions. Exam timings and time allocation • Total Marks – 200 • Mode of examination – Objective • No. of Questions – 200 • Duration - 4 hours (two sessions of 2 hours each) • Timing Session I (10.00 am to 12.00 am) Session II (2.00pm to 4.00pm) Registration-Process: Any Interested aspirant who is willing to take up CA as their Profession, they can take a Registration form from official website of ICAI or Manually buy a Registration form from the nearest Branch office of the ICAI. Fill up the Application form and enclose the same along with the Following list of Enclosures: 1. Demand Draft towards Registration Fee 2. Proof of Date of Birth: Class 10th Admit Card (or) Class 10th Marks Sheet (or) Class 10th Pass Certificate indication Date of Birth Should be Attested by a Chartered Accountant or Gazetted Officer or Head of the Institute 3. Attested Copy of 12th Pass or its Equivalent Qualification as recognized by Central Govt. 4. Proof of Nationality (Only if the Student is Foreigner) 5. Proof of Special Category Certificate i.e., SC/ST, OBC and Disabled Submit the above said List of Enclosures along with Application Form with the Nearest Chapter Office The following fee structure is subject to change from time to time. CPT Fee Structure For Indian and Nepali (Amt in Rs.)
