CPT:

CPT is Common Proficiency Test it is the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India.

Eligibility

Candidate can register for CPT after done Grade 10 and take the exam after done Grade 12.

Test model

This is an objective kind test and consists of 200 MCQ’s. CPT covers 4 basic subjects divided into two sections.

1. Accounting (60 Marks) + Mercantile Laws (40 Marks)

2. Economics (50 Marks) + Quantitative Aptitude [disambiguation needed] (50 Marks).

CA CPT Examination Pattern:

First Session

10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Section – A Fundamental of Accounting
Section – B Mercantile Laws

Second Session

2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)
Section – C General Economics
Section – D Quantitative Aptitude

In CPT exam each incorrect answer carries a 0.25 negative mark.

Candidate is required to safe at least of 30 per cent marks in each Section and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, in all the four Sections to pass the CPT.

Last Date:

CPT application forms properly filled in might be sent so as to reach the Examinations at New Delhi not later than 28th October, 2014.

Exam date:

CPT exam will hold on 14 December 2014.
