Tata Institute of Social Sciences Certificate in Rehabilitation Counselling programme details are as given below:

Certificate in Rehabilitation Counselling

Eligibility:
The Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 40% of the aggregate marks are eligible.

Preference will be given to applicants who are Graduates in Psychology, Social Work or have had training in Special Education.

Preference will also be given to Graduates with at least two years experience in Social Welfare or Disabled Welfare.

Selection Procedure:
Those applicants satisfying eligibility requirements will be interviewed.

Course structure:

Compulsory Basic Courses
RC 1 Disability and People with Disability
RC 2 Policies and Programmes for the Disabled: An International and National Perspective
RC 3 Intervention with Vulnerable Groups
RC 4 Rehabilitation and Counselling Approaches
RC 5 Life Span Intervention with the Disabled and their Families
RC 6 Management of Rehabilitation Programmes
RC 7 Seminar on Issues Related to Field Practice


Optional Courses
SC 1 Rehabilitation of the Sensorally Impaired
SC 2 Rehabilitation of the Orthopaedically Impaired including thos with Cerebral Palsy and the Leprosy Affected
SC 3 Rehabilitation of the Mentally Disabled and the Learning Disabled
