As you Completed your Class 12th Science Mathematics Stream you may go for JEE Main Entrance Exam the Details of the JEE Main Entrance Exam is given below

JEE Main is a Engineering Apptitude Test Conducted by the CBSE for Admission into the Engineering Colleges of India

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit : 17 to 25 years

Academic Requirements: Candidates must have qualified class 12th (or equivalent) examination

Qualifying Marks: General Category candidates need to have secured minimum 75% marks or should be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12th board or equivalent examination. Qualifying marks requirement for candidates belonging to SC/ST category is 65%.

Examination Pattern

JEE Main 2018 will have Paper I and Paper II. Candidates can take either of the two or both the papers. Paper I is for B.Tech while Paper II is held for admissions to B.Arch programme.

The test has objective type or multiple choice questions (MCQs).

JEE Main 2018 is expected to be held in English, Hindi, Urdu, Marathi and Gujarati languages.

The entrance test is conducted in both modes Online (computer based test) and Offline (Pen & Paper based test).

Marking Scheme

Total marks for JEE Main 2018 paper are 360 against total 90 questions. This means that each question carries a weightage of 4 marks. Correct answers will fetch 4 marks each, while each incorrect answer carries negative marking (-1 or 1/4th marks will be deducted).


Number of Attempt
candidate can attempt JEE (Main) a maximum number of three (3) times.
For JEE (Advanced), the maximum number of attempts is two (2) in consecutive years. Hence one who has appeared in JEE Advanced 2017 is eligible for JEE Advanced 2018.
