Common Entrance Examination for Design CEED

Will you provide me detail of the CEED exam as I want to apply for the exam for Master of Design course ?

IIT Bombay conducts Common Entrance Examination for Design for admit the students in Master of Design (M.Des.) program and in Ph.D programmes in Design at some Institutes.

Eligibility for CEED:

1.The candidate having Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Design/ Interior Design or equivalent can apply for this exam .

2. The candidate completed professional Diploma in Design (NID/ CEPT) or equivalent eligible for this exam.

3. The candidate having Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) or equivalent degree also eligible for this exam .

4. Candidates with G.D. Art with 01 year of post qualification Professional Experience Master Degree in Arts/ Science/ Computer Applications or equivalent are also eligible for this exam.


CEED Syllabus includes topics as :
Awareness of design
General awareness
Lateral thinking
Skill setting
Comprehension
Reasoning psychological analysis
Visual ability


CEED Paper Pattern :
CEED Exam Paper having two parts ;
Part A
Part B

Part A : Contains multiple choice (MCQ) type questions.
Part B : Contains design and hand drawing type questions.

Exam Fee:
Rs.2,000/– for male (GN and OBC) candidates
Rs.1,000/– for male (SC/ST/PwD) candidates
Rs.1,000/– for all female candidates.
