Yes, Common Entrance Test is replacement with WBJEE from 2013, bcoz there has been no progress in this field.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE) is the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for admissions to the engineering courses in the state of West Bengal.

WBJEE is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board.

The WBJEE is the entrance examination for admissions to various professional courses in various fields of Engineering/Architecture/Technology for various university and colleges in West Bengal.

Eligibility:

The Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of WBCHSE or equivalent exam from a recognized Council/Board with a minimum of 45% in aggregate (40% for SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates)

The Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with optional subjects as Chemistry /Biotechnology /Biology/Technical Vocational Subjects (Engineering Drawing / Computer Science) and must have passed each subject individually

The Candidates must also have secured a minimum of 30% marks in English.

Paper Pattern:

The Exam will comprise of three papers:
Mathematics (100 marks)
Physics (75 marks)
Chemistry (75 Marks)
