Common Admission Test Qualification
I want to appear in the Common Admission Test for admission in Master of Business administration Program conducted by IIM’s. So give me important dates for this year examination and counseling. Provide details about minimum eligibility criteria to appear in the Common Admission Test. Give me some sample question papers of the following test.

Re: Common Admission Test Qualification About the CAT : The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India including the IIMs. Required Qualification The candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Examination Pattern Section No. of Questions Duration Quantitative Ability 34 3 hrs Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension 34 . Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning 32 Total 100 Reservation Criteria 5% of seats are kept reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC); 7.5% of seats are kept reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST); 27% of seats are kept reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC); 3% of seats are kept reserved for Persons with Disability (PWD). The categories of disability includ: a) low vision blindness, b) hearing impairment, c) loco motor disability/cerebral palsy. Any candidate who wishes to apply for this category will be eligible if only he/she suffers from any listed disabilities to the extent of less than 40%, as certified by a medical authority. Application fees : Register online at the CAT website with a registration fee of Rs. 1700 (General/NC-OBC) and Rs. 850 (SC/ST/PWD-DA). |
