The Department of English, Delhi University is conducts an entrance test every year - DU CATE Exam. The test is also known as Delhi University Common Aptitude Test for English.

The University conducts this entrance test for the admission of students to its undergraduate level programme BA (Hons) English.

The entrance test is conducted at 12 affiliated colleges of the University.

For the final selection, candidates marks in the qualifying examination are also determined along with the merit in the common aptitude test.

Eligibility:

The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.
The candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 60% marks in the subject of English.
