Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is for admission into medical and engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. Eligibility Criteria for Engineering and Architecture (B.Tech/ B.E/ B.Arch) Minimum age of the applicant must be 17 year old, as on 31 December 2015. Candidate must have qualified, 10+2 (or PUC or equivalent exam), from a recognized State/ Central board. Core subjects must include Physics, Mathematics along English. Optional subjects may include Chemistry/ Bio Tech./ Biology etc. Aggregate attained by candidates must not be less than 45%. However, for ST/ SC/ OBC of Karnataka, minimum marks required is 40%. Eligibility Criteria For Medical (MBBS/ BDS) Minimum age of the applicant must be 17 years old, as on 31 December 2015 Candidates should have cleared 10+2, with Physic, Biology and English as core subjects, from a recognized board. General candidates must have scored, both in aggregate and in PCB, upto 50% in qualifying exam. Whereas, SC/ ST / OBC candidates, of the State, need to score upto 40% only In English subject, general category candidates must have attained 50% marks, however, for SC/ ST and OBC of Karnataka State, the same 40%. Exam Pattern COMEDK will be a 3 hours exam, in which candidates will have to solve 180 MCQ of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology. One English section, will be compulsory for all the candidates to attempt. Candidates will be awarded 1 mark to opt each question, correctly. Negative marking will not be applicable.
