Combined Graduate Level Requirement

I am planning to join government organization and decided to apply for Combined Graduate Level Examination recruitment. Will you tell me eligibility and qualification required to apply for the SSC CGL exam also provide me important dates of this exam so that I can apply?

The Commission holds Combined Graduate Level Examination, for recruitment to different posts for which a Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum requirement.

Age Limit

The age limit varies for candidates applying for different posts.

Post - Inspector of Income Tax: 18 to 27 years
Statistical Investigator Gr.II – Not exceeding 26 years
Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI - 20-27 years

Age relaxation

SC/ST - 5 years
OBC - 3 years
Physically Handicapped (PH) - 10 years
PH + OBC - 13 years
PH + SC/ST - 15 years

Entry requirements:

Educational Qualification

The required educational qualification varies for candidates applying for different posts.

Compiler: Bachelor’s Degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or elective subject from any recognized University.
Statistical Investigator Grade – II:

Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects; OR

Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics (with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three year as the case may be) as one of the main subjects; OR

Bachelor’s Degree with Economics (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.

Exam pattern:

The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:

Tier -I -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -II -- Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier -III -- Personality Test /Interview/Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test

1) Date of Notification (Tentative) : 13th Feb, 2016

2) Starting Date of Online Registration: 14th Feb, 2016

3) Closing Date of Online Registration (Part-1): 10th March, 2016 ( Upto 5:00 PM)

4) Closing Date of Online Registration (Part-II): 14th March, 2016 (Upto 5:00 PM )

5) Tentative Date of Written Exam: 8th and 22nd May, 2016
