The UPSC conducts the Combined Engineering Services Examination for recruitment of engineers to the four categories of Engineering Services : Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics &Telecommunication Engineering. Eligibility Criteria 3. Nationality: A candidate must be either: A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, o Educational Qualification Candidates must possess an B.E degree or equivalent in the relevant branch. Candidates who are yet to appear in the final examination of the B.E/B.Tech may also be allowed to appear in the Examination provisionally. Age Limits A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years. Examination Pattern Stage-I: Preliminary Exam for the selection of candidates for the Stage-II Main Examination. Subject Duration Maximum Marks Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) 2 Hrs. 200 Paper-II (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic and Technology) 3 Hrs. 300 Total 500 Stage-II: Mains Examination will consists of two Conventional Type Papers Subject Duration Maximum Marks Paper-I (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic and Technology) 3 Hrs. 300 Paper-II (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic and Technology) 3 Hrs. 300 Total 600 Stage-III: Personality Test /Interview (200 Marks) Centre for the Examination Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal Chennai, Chandigarh, Cuttack Delhi, Dharwar, Dispur (Guwahati) Gangtok, Hyderabad Imphal, Itanagar Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat Kochi (Cochin), Kohima, Kolkata Lucknow Madurai, Mumbai Nagpur Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair Raipur Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam |
