College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test is an exam that tests the students for college level knowledge of a particular subject, and if a student passes the exam, they will be given college credit as if they actually taken the courses. The Advanced Placement (AP) program features rigorous academic classes taught by accredited teachers in schools . Students take AP exams after taking an AP course. Courses tested in CLEP: like history and the social sciences, composition and literature, science and math, business and world languages . Courses tested in AP: like history and the social sciences, composition and literature, science and math, Spanish and French ,business and world languages . AP test : Depending on the subject tested, questions can range from multiple-choice options to essay questions and include listening comprehension and speaking components,have two hours to complete the test. CLEP test: Depending on the subject tested, questions can range from multiple-choice options to essay questions Have 90 questions that students answer in 120 minutes CLEP test Credit: Scores range from 20-80 with a 50 being the minimum score to receive credit. AP test Credit: Scores range from 0 to 5 and a 3 is required to receive credit. |
