Clatskanie Middle/High School is a type of public school. It was established in the year 1949. It is located in Clatskanie, Oregon, United States. The present school was built in 1949 and had 183 students by 1952. It substituted a high school that had burned down in 1945. It was planned by Freeman, Hayslip and Tuft of Portland, Oregon. The high school has been used as a Red Cross shelter during floods. The building was initially used to house grades 9 through 12 only. In 1998, Clatskanie Middle School was shut and the school was renamed Clatskanie Middle/ High School and contained grades 6 through 12 The existing building opened in 1949 and now houses 462 students. Known as the Tigers, teams from the school contend at the 3A level in the Lewis & Clark League of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA). Its athletic teams compete at the 3A level in the Oregon School Activities Association. Called as the Tigers with colours of red, white and black, teams are in the Lewis & Clark League for most sports. The school fields teams in boys and girls cross country, basketball, and track and field. Other sports include football, baseball, softball, girls soccer (in cooperation with Rainier High School), volleyball, and wrestling.
