Clarkson Gay-Straight Alliance seeks to promote a sense of community on and around the Clarkson University campus, not considering sexual orientation or gender identity. The organization endeavor to promote the understanding of issues related to sexual orientation and gender expression, It includes but not limited to the experiences of individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, intersex, polyamorous, pansexual, and allies. It accomplish through offering educational initiatives, creating a safe space through social programming and increasing a positive climate through networking. Article I – Name The name of this organization will be Clarkson Gay-Straight Alliance Article II – Purpose It is the purpose of the Clarkson Gay-Straight Alliance to: A) Foster a sense of community among Clarkson students including but not limited to, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, intersex, polyamorous, pansexual and/or allies B) Provide a support network for all current and former members C) Educate the Clarkson community about issues surrounding sexual orientation and gender identity D) Promote and facilitate the expansion of safe spaces.
