CIA or Central Intelligence Agency’s graduate studies program look for motivated graduate students to serve internships in the analytic offices and centers of CIA's Directorate of Intelligence. Graduate studies interns work on teams with full-time analysts. Liberal arts majors research, analyze, write, and brief on international political, military, economic, and leadership developments. In addition to the analytic responsibilities, graduate studies interns become well-known with the Agency and Intelligence Community by participating in a range of meetings and projects. It allows participants and the Agency to assess opportunities for permanent employment following the participant's completion of graduate school. Minimum qualifications: Students in a variety of graduate degree programs are required, including international affairs, area studies, economics, geography, physical sciences, and engineering. Students selected for the program must be entering or continuing graduate school on a full-time basis following this assignment. One should be available for a 90-day internship with the possibility to do additional tours, depending on availability. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required. The following items must be attached to online application: • Resume. • A cover letter in which specify qualifications for one or more analytic positions. Please address why want to work for the DI and what differentiates you from other applicants. • Unofficial transcripts for all degrees. • Two different writing samples, each five (5) pages MAXIMUM, single spaced, technical or analytic papers that focus on current area of expertise or interests and are related to your interest in positions at CIA. One can excerpt longer papers. |
