Legal Environment: Introduction to FERA &FEMA, distinction b/w FERA/FEMA (5 hrs)
EXIM Policies: introduction, objectives, features & evaluation of Exim policy in light
of liberalization (5 hrs)
Economic Environment -Different Economic Systems- capitalism, socialism, mixed
economy, features, merits & demerits (6 hrs)
Economic Parameters like GDP - Growth Rate - Population - Urbanization - Fiscal
deficit- Per capita Income and their impact on business decision (6 hrs)

UNIT III- (22 hrs)
Technological Environment: Introduction, meaning of technology transfer, its

NOTE FOR THE PAPER SETTER
The syllabus has been divided into three units. Paper setter will set 3 questions from each unit and 1 compulsory question spread over the whole syllabus consisting of 5 short answer questions. Compulsory question will be placed at number one. Candidate shall be required to attempt 6 questions in all including compulsory question and selecting not more than 2 questions from each unit. All questions carry equal marks.

Demand Elasticity: Types & Degree of Elasticity of Demand, Measurement of elasticity (3 hrs)
Demand Forecasting: Methods and applications (5 hrs)
Theory of Production: Factors of production, Short Run and Long Run Production Function,
Iso-quants and their properties (12 hrs)

Basic terms: Capital, Income, Expenditure, Expenses, Assets, Liabilities and application to problems. (3 Hrs)
Journal and Ledger: Double Entry System; Journal and recording of entries in journal with narration;
Ledger –Posting from Journal to respective ledger accounts. (5 Hrs)


UNIT II (15 Hrs)

Bank Reconciliation Statement:
Bank transactions, Preparation of simple bank reconciliation statement. (5 Hrs)
Trial Balance: Need and objectives; Application of Trial Balance; different types of errors
escaped Trial Balance preparation; Rectification of errors. (5 Hrs)
Depreciation Accounting:
Needs and objectives; concept and application of Fixed and Reducing Installment Method;
Application of above methods with purchase and sale of assets with alteration
(excluding retrospective methods). (5 Hrs)


UNIT-III (18 Hrs)
Final Accounts:
Concept of adjustment; Application of Trading Account and Profit and Loss Account to get
Gross Profit and Net Profit; Application of Balance Sheet with Marshalling;
Application of final accounts problems.

MS-Word: Starting Word, opening, creating and saving documents. Entering,
editing and formatting text. Formatting pages, paragraphs and sections. Creating
lists and numbering. Heading Styles, Fonts and size editing, positioning & viewing text. (5 hrs)
MS-EXCEL: Starting Excel, Worksheet overview. Creating, Opening and saving a worksheet/workbook.
Entering, editing and formatting data. (5 hrs)
Entering Simple Formulae. Relative and Absolute Addressing. (5 hrs)
Filter. Print preview, and printing a document. (7 hrs)

MS-POWERPOINT: Presentation Basics, Menus & Toolbars. Creating, Opening and saving a
