CG PET Allotment of Seats

Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test or CG PET is a common entrance test for
admissions to various undergraduate engineering courses in the state of
Chhattisgarh.

Eligibility criteria:

Age Limit:

Candidate should be at least 17 years and should not be more that 30 years.
Relaxation on age limit will be as per the norms of CG PET.

Education Qualification:

Candidates should have attained at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are mandatory subjects in qualifying
exam.

For SC, ST and OBC candidates, their aggregate in the qualifying exam
should not be less than 40%. Candidate must have written the qualifying
exam from a recognized Institute.

Residency:

Candidate must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh. He/ she should
have a domicile or any other document to proof their residency

Exam Pattern

CG PET will be a 3 hours exam in which marks will be deducted for the
wrong answer, as negative marking. Candidates will have to attempt 150
questions, which is also the total number of questions presented in the exam.
All the questions in the exam will be cover the concepts of Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics.

Reservation of Seats

-For Schedule Caste Candidates – 12% seats are reserved

-For Schedule Tribes – 32% seats are reserved

-OBC candidates who are from Non-Creamy Layer – 14% seats will be
reserved for them.

-Rest 42% seats are for General category candidates.



Important Dates:

Application Form of CG PET 2016 will be available: 2nd week of March 2016

Admit Card of CG PET 2016 will be issued in: 3rd week of April 2016

CG PET 2016 will be held on: 17 April 2016

CG PET Result will be declared in: 3rd week of May 2016

CG PET 2016 Counselling will be held in: 2nd week of June 2016
