Central Food Technological Research Institute invites applications from eligible applicants for full – time Doctoral Research Program in Biological / Engineering Sciences

Eligibility
Ph.D. ( Science ) :
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine or B.S ( of 4 year duration ) or Applicants with Master’s degree with a keen sense of scientific enquiry for pursuing advanced research in frontier areas of Biological, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences leading to a Ph.D degree.

Applicants should be having a valid National level fellowship ,INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.

Ph.D. ( Engineering ) :
Applicants with a Master’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy
or
Applicants with a Master’s degree in Sciences and with a valid GATE score or UGC / CSIR NET / NBHM or valid CSIR-SRF or equivalent fellowship
or
Applicants with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology having a valid GATE score having keen interest in research in various disciplines in Engineering.

Direct PhD in Engineering :
Candidates having following qualifications are eligible to apply :
B.E. / B.Tech + GATE / NET ( Engg )
B.E. / B.Tech + 2-year experience as PA / CSIR-SRF / Industrial Candidates
B.E. / B.Tech or M.Sc. + National level fellowship / Ranked first in University

Last date of Online form : 24th October, 2013.
Intimation to Shortlisted applicants ( Electronic ) : 31st October, 2013
Aptitude Test / Interviews : 18th November, 2013 to 13th December, 2013.
Results : 18th December, 2013.
Enrollment : 6th & 7th January, 2014
Commencement of Session 2014: 10th January, 2014.

CFTRI M.Sc Food Technology entrance exam

Eligibility criteria:

Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture / Engineering / Technology

Mathematics as one of the subjects in Plus 2 or Pre-University or at Degree level is compulsory for admission.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

55% in optional subjects of B.Sc. pass course (50% for SC / ST category)
50% for B.Sc. (Hons.) course (45% for SC / ST category)
Minimum second class for Agriculture / Engineering / Technology
