Re: Cfa MBA programs

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program is a professional credential offered internationally by the American-based CFA Institute to investment and financial professionals.

The program covers a broad range of topics relating to investment management, financial analysis, stocks, bonds and derivatives, and provides a generalist knowledge of other areas of finance.

CFA curriculum is focused purely on financial analysis. The curriculum is quite rigorous and the depth of knowledge tested in the examination is reasonably high. So, anyone who is looking at roles that involve various roles in the investment industry should have a sound understanding of the concepts and that is precisely what the CFA curriculum is focused on.

A candidate who successfully completes the program and meets other professional requirements is awarded the "CFA charter" and becomes a "CFA charterholder".

CFA Institute is a global association of expert investment professionals that is now considered a benchmark for excellence in the industry. So, with a CFA in your kitty after an MBA Finance, you are sure to go places!

The CFA Program lays a strong foundation for advanced investment analysis and practical portfolio management skills which will prepare you for a wide array of roles. The Program curriculum covers concepts and skills you will use at the most difficult stages of your career. Especially, for careers Equity Research, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, Hedge Fund and Venture Capitalist there is a requirement of a focused curriculum.

CFA with MBA Finance automatically gives an edge to your resume as compared to those with only MBA Finance. A focused degree in finance like CFA shows your seriousness about your career in finance.

It is well-known that CFA program is a little difficult to pass. But with your basic concepts already in place through an MBA in Finance, it becomes a little easier to wade through the CFA curriculum.

Firstly MBA Finance more or less prepares you for CFA Level 1 very well, plus the time management skills that MBA students have, is immensely beneficial for tackling CFA exams.
