KCET or Karnataka Common Entrance Test is a competitive exam conducted for the purpose of admission of students to the first year or first semester of full-time courses in medical, dental and engineering courses in professional colleges in the state of Karnataka.


Important Dates 2016

Commencement of Entry of Application Online: 13th January 2016

Last Date to Enter Application Details Online: 13th February 2016

Last Date to Pay the Fees in the Banks specified 15th February 2016

Downloading of Admission Tickets on or after: 15th April 2016


Common Entrance Test - 2016 Time Table

For 04th May 2016 (Wednesday, 10.30 am to 11.50 am for Biology - 60 Marks) and;

For 04th May 2016 (Wednesday, 02.30 pm to 03.50 pm, for Mathematics - 60 Marks)

For 05th May 2016 (Thursday, 10.30 am to 11.50 am for Physics - 60 Marks) and;

For 05th May 2016 (Thursday, 02.30 pm to 03.50 pm, for Chemistry - 60 Marks)

For 06th May 2016 (Friday, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, for Both for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga Candidates - 50 Marks)

Practical Exam Time Table for Agriculturist Quota:

12th May 2016 to 18th May 2016 [Verification of Documents for Agriculturist at the
respective Practical Test Centres]

Practical Exam on 20th May 2016 (Friday, 09.00 am onwards) [Agriculturist Quota –
200 Marks]


Eligibility Requirement

B-Pharma:

One must have passed in 2nd PUC/12th Standard with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates (or); Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Exam from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

2nd Year B.Pharma:
One must have passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
