The information related to the CET Karnataka is as follows:

CET Karnataka

Eligibility:

For Medical/Dental courses:

The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group and should secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test.

For Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy and Yoga courses:
The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group.

For Engineering / Technology courses:
The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and get a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the optional subjects.

For Architecture Course:
The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory optional subject and get a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination (45% of marks in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and others)and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in architecture) and get a minimum of 40% in it.

I heard about the Karnataka CET but I don’t know much about the Karnataka CET. Will you please tell me brief info about the Karnataka CET?

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission in professional courses like B.E./B.Tech, MBBS, B.Phama etc.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. For Engineering

Applicant need to pass 10+2 examination from any recognized educational institute
Applicant need to have Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as optional subjects
English should have one of subject.
Passed with at least 50% marks
For SC/ST, 45% marks

2. For Medical/Dental
Applicant need to pass 10+2 from recognized boards
Applicant need to have Biology, physics and Chemistry
English should have one of subject.
50% passing marks for general students
45% passing marks for SC/ST candidates

3. For Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga
Applicant need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board
Applicant need to have Biology, physics and Chemistry
English should have one of subject.
50% passing marks for general candidates
45% passing marks of SC/ST candidates

4. For Architecture
Applicant need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board
Applicant need to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject
50% passing marks for the general candidates
45%passing marks for the SC/ST candidates

5. For Agriculture

Applicant need to pass 10+2 from a recognized board
Applicant need to have Biology, physics and Chemistry
50% passing marks for the general candidates
45%passing marks for the SC/ST candidates

Karnataka CET Fee:

For General Candidates: Rs. 650
For SC/ST and OBC candidates: Rs. 500

Important dates:

Online application forms availed on KEA website from: Jan 30, 2015
Last date for submitting applications online was on: March 2, 2015
Last date for paying fee in the bank / post office was on: March 4, 2015
Admission tickets can be downloaded from April 15, 2015
KCET 2014 entrance examinations would be held in April 29, 30 & May 01, 2015
Results would be announced on last week of May 2015.
Online option entry process would commence from second week of June 2015.
