The CET or College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar was established in 1981 to meet the growing technical man power need in the State.

Earlier it was a Constituent College of the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar.

After creation of a Technical University for Odisha State, the College is a Constituent College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha.

Admissions and Examinations

B. Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech. M. Arch., MCA, M. Sc. and Integrated M.Sc. admission to different UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes are made through various Entrance Examinations conducted at State , National and Institutional level each year.

Registration is required at the beginning of each semester.

One is allowed to appear for examination for registered courses only, and should consult with the respective department heads for guidance before registration.

One is eligible to appear for examinations provided they attend a minimum of 75% of their theory, practical, and session classes scheduled during the semester.
