Following is Master of Architecture course structure offer at CEPT University:

The first semester emphasizes on understanding urbanization and urbanism. City- its morphology, determinants, relationships, activities, history and methods of analysis. It also attempts to combine ‘Design’ with the complimentary ‘Developmental’ process.

The second semester attempts to synthesize the multiple determinants and developmental processes along with the enabling tools and mechanisms. Urban Design is seen as a part of a larger system. Particular emphasis is on understanding environmental factors, human intervention and historicity. The first summer expects the students to document and analyze relevant urban design projects in the Indian context. This is to form the base for deliberations in the Urban Design Theory course in Semester III.

The third semester attempts to build up the understanding of the complexity of the city. It attempts to define the role for Urban Design in our development process. The resolutions are
expected to address all issues from conception to realization.
The design thesis in the final semester expects the students to demonstrate their abilities to conceptualize, investigate and synthesize urban/environmental objectives, design methods
and contextual issues at an urban scale.
