Library membership is free to all students, faculty and staff of the IIT Bombay. The membership is also offered to IIT Bombay Alumni, Industrial and Corporate Houses, Engineering Educational Institutions, IITB retired faculty and officers, and other professionals on payment of fees as per details below:

Library Working Hours
Monday through Friday from 0900 – 2300 hrs
Monday through Friday from 0900 – 0100 hrs (during examination)
Saturdays / Sundays / Holidays from 1000 – 1700 hrs

The library remains open on all days of the year except on the following Holidays which are as given below:

Circulation Hours
Monday through Friday from 0900–2000 hrs
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays from 1100–1300 hrs
Self Issue / self check out, any time till library is open.
Study room books issued for overnight, 1 hour before closing of the library on all days
