Hi I would like to have more information about the Central Government Health Scheme which has its roots in Pune City in the State of Maharastra?

The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is a welfare plan presented by Govt.of India under Ministry of Health and Family welfare at first in Delhi on first July 1954.

Presently there are 25 CGHS units in various urban communities to give complete Medical consideration offices to the Central Government workers (serving and retired people), their relatives, and other entitled classes for a token commitment.

The recipients can profit social insurance administrations in various frameworks of medication, for example, Allopathy, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Yoga, and Siddha.

Working of CGHS is inside of the ambit of the guidelines and regulation set down occasionally by the Directorate of CGHS, under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
