Re: Center for Relationship Development Seattle Pacific University

Faculty members in the School of Psychology, Family, and Community (SPFC) of Seattle Pacific University are committed teachers and mentors, active scholars and practitioners.

It seek students who are excited to learn, who are prepared to work hard, and who want to make a difference in the world. Its baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral programs are designed to meet the exacting standards of professional guilds.

Centre for Relationship Development

In 1992 Seattle Pacific University established the Center for Relationship Development (CRD) to help students learn to build healthy, lasting relationships. It may have been a first for an American educational institution.

Initially funded by grants from the Murdock Charitable Trust, the Centre is dedicated to fostering positive relationships, whether they are with classmates, roommates, parents, teammates, siblings, bosses, or potential marriage partners.

The Centre aims to solve relationship problems before they begin. Its efforts focus on three major areas: education, outreach, and research.
