Hello sir I am Prabha and I am here as I want to get the details of the CBSE CSSS Scholarship – Central Sector Scholarship Scheme Renewal so will you please provide me the details??

The Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India had introduced “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students” in 11 five year plan while discontinuing all the earlier scholarship schemes
The Objective of CSSS is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families to meet day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies

Eligibility Criteria

All conditions are mandatory and applicable to all categories of applications

(i) Applicant should have passed Class XII from CBSE has been awarded Central Sector Scholarship by the CBSE

(ii) Applicant should not be availing any other scholarship from any other scheme/source

(iii) Applicant should have passed in all the subjectswith not less than 60% marks (or equivalent, if grades have been awarded) in the annual examinations (or aggregate of 2 semester) in the course pursuing

(iv) Applicant should have maintained not less than 75% attendance, good discipline and should not have involved in ragging activities

Scholarship Amount & Duration

Graduation:
Rs.1000/- per month for three years; to be disbursed lump sum amount of Rs 10,000/- at the end of the academic year

Post Graduation:
Rs.2000/- per month for two years; to be disbursed lump sum amount of Rs 20,000/- at the end of the academic year

Number of scholarships will be distributed amongst pass out of the Science, Commerce and Humanities in ratio of 3:2:1

Reservation to SC, ST, OBC and PH will be as per guidelines of the Govt. of India

Renewal

A scholarship under the scheme is renewable from year to year upto Post Graduate level in the same stream.

For all professional courses, scholarship will be renewed till the graduation level of the course.

For all the courses the scholarship would be renewal upto a maximum of five year. The renewal will depend on promotion to the next class provided the scholar secures 60% or more marks or equivalent Grade Point Average in aggregate for the two preceding semesters or of the annual exam nation which determines his promotion to the next class.

It will also be subject to discipline and maintenance of attendance of at least 75% by the scholar.
