Central Board of Irrigation and Power, set up by the Government of India in 1927, has been rendering dedicated services to the professional organizations, engineers and individuals in the country.

CBIP MBA program details

MBA in Power Management is a two year full time course designed to address the various strategic and operational issues.

Target Date for Start of Academic Programs:

The target dates for starting the program are mid July/August every year for the odd semester and mid

January/February for even semester

Admission Procedure:

There would be two categories of the candidate i.e. sponsored and non sponsored.

Non sponsored candidate would be given admission on the basis of score card of CAT conducted by IIMs followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

Sponsored candidates need not appear in the CAT conducted by IIMs.

They would be given admission on the basis of marks of BE/B-Tech., group discussions, personal interview, experience etc.

Program Structure:

This would be a two-year program spread over four Semesters.

In the first year, the students take courses in major functional / general management areas like Human Resources, Operations, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology and core Power Sector areas.

In the second year, the students take compulsory specialized courses in the area of Power Management.

In addition they have to opt from a list of electives covering various specific courses from the areas of Power and Management.
