Can you tell me about the fee structure for CAT (Common Admission Test) entrance exam as I want to take admission in it?

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in Management courses of several management institutes all over India including the IIMs.

CAT is a computer based test, conducted in multiple cities during a window of 3-4 weeks. A candidate can select his / her test date and slot as per choice and availability.

CAT Entrance Exam Fee Structure

CAT registration fee of Rs. 1600 (General/NC-OBC) and Rs. 800 (SC/ST/PWD-DA)

Eligibility

Education:

General category: A bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 50% or equivalent CGPA

SC/ST/Differently abled: A bachelor’s degree in any stream with at least 45% or equivalent CGPA

Candidates in the final year of graduation or those awaiting their final year results can also apply

Age: No age bar

Reservation
Scheduled Caste – 15% of the total seats
Scheduled Tribes – 7.5% of the total seats
OBC (Non- Creamy layer) – 27% of the total seats
