CAT is conducted on National level by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to provide admission to the candidates into Post Graduate level Management Degree/Diploma programmes .

Eligibility
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

In case of the SC and ST, a minimum of 45% mark is sufficient.

Course Eligibility
PGP-ABM (Post Graduate Program in Agri-Business Management in IIM Ahmadabad) - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Agriculture Sciences or in Agriculture-related disciplines, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Or
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

PGP (Post Graduate Program in Management) - Bachelors Degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

PGSEM (PGP in Software Enterprise Management) - Bachelors degree from a recognized university along with a minimum of two years of work in the software industry.

PGDCM (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Aided Management) - Bachelors Degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

PGPPM (Post Graduate Program in Public Policy and Management) – (i) Eligible Government Officials, (ii)Civil society functionaries,(iii) mid career executives belonging to PSUs and Corporate Undertakings and (iv)Individuals with minimum 7 years of professional experience.

Ex-PGP (Post Graduate Program in Management for Executives) - Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA with minimum of 5 years of managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience obtained only after graduation.

PGP-ABM (PGP in Agri-Business Management in IIM Lucknow) - Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Science / Agricultural Engineering or allied subjects with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from any of the recognized Universities.
Or
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. He/she must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing Higher Secondary schooling or equivalent with at least two years experience or strong interest in the field of Agriculture or allied sector.

• Closing date for Online Application Forms: 30 September 2014

• Date of Download of Admit Card: 16 October 2014

• CAT exam dates (forenoon and afternoon sessions): 16 November 2014 (Sunday) and 22 November 2014 (Saturday)

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India including the IIMs.

Eligibility

The candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/DA/PWD) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification exam and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

Reservation:
15.00% Scheduled Caste (SC)
7.50% Scheduled Tribe (ST)
27.00% Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates belonging to the “non-creamy” layer
3.00% Differently Abled (DA)

CAT Syllabus

CAT English/Verbal Ability: Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, idioms, etc.

CAT Maths/Quant Ability: Number systems, geometry, trogonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.

CAT Data Interpretation: Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), venn diagram, etc.

CAT Logical Reasoning: Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and matrix arrangement, etc.
