Re: CAT Cutoff For IIT Bombay

The Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSoM) at IIT Mumbai uses the CAT score to short list candidates for MBA admissions.

The IIT Mumbai MBA cut-off is based on the CAT percentile score, pegged at 98.5 for this year.

Criteria for Preparing the Merit List (Max. marks 100)

The criteria for preparing the Merit List will be as follows

CAT Score : 20 %
Interview (WAT & PI) : 44 %
Profile : 36%

Personal Appearance (44%) :

SJMSOM IIT Bombay will consider the following weights

Writing Skills (WAT) : 10%
Personal Interview (PI) : 34%

Personal Interview (34%)

SJMSOM IIT Bombay will consider the following weights

Functional Knowledge : 12%
General & Social Awareness : 10%
Communication Skills : 12%

Profile (36%) :

The following weights will be considered for profiling

Academic Profile :23 %
Work experience : 9 %
Extra-curricular Activities : 4 %

For Academic Profile (23%), following will be the weights
10th Standard : 5%
12th Standard : 8%
Under Graduation : 10%
