Pharmaceutical Chemistry is an important branch of Pharmacy and it is a 2 year full time course. In this you will learn about the Basic pharmaceutical chemistry, organic chemistry, basic pharmaceutics and pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology, basic physiology and pharmacognosy and many other things.

After doing this course students can be hired to work as project assistants at research institute or research fellows.

In business sector students with higher abilities are selected e.g. Cadila, Glenmark, Dr.Reddy's Lab, Cipla and in many more companies. These companies also conduct campus recruitment where students get a better chance to prove their skills.

Students of this course have various career options, for some information about it check below

For Higher studies: There are various chances for the individual, they can either go for higher studies like Ph.D through GATE and other entrances for improving their skills or they can go for jobs in the chemical companies, research institutes, Pharma companies ,even universities and colleges.

Overseas career: They can make their career bright by performing well in GRE, TOEFL, IELTS etc entrances and they can pursue MBA and other pharmacy related courses in US, UK, Australia etc.

Clinical research: They can work as CP. Clinical programmer is required to organize and monitor the tasks in the laboratories, applying data management plans intended to meet project and protocol goals, and consults in the design and growth of clinical trials, protocols, and case report forms.
Production: More no of jobs are opening in Pharma industries for production. All the big firms invite suitable skill Pharma candidates in manufacturing units. Early pay is less around 15000-20000 per month but later it show quicker growth rate than any other line.

Scientists: Pharma graduates can work as scientist in R&D and F&D. It is field of innovation where brilliant people in pharmacy work as scientist. Many researches are going on in India though compare to less than US and other British industries. Most of the candidates from M.Pharm are selected because they have greater in skills and have application of knowledge.

Quality control: They have to develop, apply, revise, and maintain quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
Professor: Post graduates in pharmacy are most greeted in this field. They are salaried up to 25000 in good institutions. They can work as professor. It is very reliable position where you can build up skills in new comers in pharmacy.
