Calicut University Semester Clearance

Hello sir, here I’m preparing for B.tech semester examination from Calicut University. Can any one here provide me detail for semester clearance and also give me some question for semester in B.Tech from Calicut University?

In Calicut University semester clearance is provides for moderation. moderation can be effected only for semester clearance i.e. If a student acquires ‘C’ grade (aggregate of external + internal) in all the courses (papers) except one course in a semester, then the conditions of moderation will apply.
The conditions are

If a student gets ‘D’ grade in external and a low grade in internal, he/she be promoted to ‘C’ grade (aggregate) only for one course in a semester.

If one gets ‘E’ grade in external & ‘A’ or ‘B’ in internal then also the student, may be promoted to ‘C’ grade (aggregate) only for one course in a semester.

Modified Regulations of Choice based Credit Semester System Under Graduate Curriculum 2011, in School of Distance Education (CCSS UG-SDE)

Short Title

These regulations shall be called “Calicut University Regulations of Choice based Credit Semester System – Under Graduate Curriculum 2011, in School of Distance Education” (CUCCSS UG SDE 2011).

Scope:

The regulations provided herein shall apply to all UG Programmes under School of Distance Education, under faculties as specified in section 4.1 conducted by the University of Calicut for the Programmes commencing from 2011 admission.

The provisions herein supersede the existing regulations for the students admitted to Private/Distance mode in Under Graduate Programmes under faculties specified in section 4.1 conducted by the University of Calicut unless otherwise specified.

1. Sketch a plain milling cutter and explain the various elements of a cutter.

2. Discuss the influence of cutting parameters on cutting force and power.

3. Sketch and design a die to manufacture cycle-chain links.

4. Explain the design principles of progressive dies.

5. Sketch and explain standard work holding devices.
Or
6. Sketch and explain the operation of a quick acting clamps.

As per the rule of mentioned above for moderation(Internal A/B +External E) is promoted as “C” overall grade for one paper only in a course.
